No one was better at parodies of celebrities than “Weird Al” Yankovic. Who can forget “Eat it” and “I Love Rocky Road”? Well, move over, “Weird Al,” because the smash-hit musical comedy Forbidden Hollywood is making its way to the stage at Lynn University in Boca Raton. This parody, created by Gerard Alessandrini, which is the first of three major performances in the Live at Lynn Summer Series, spoofs blockbusters like Star Wars, Titanic, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. And watch out, Cameron Diaz, Nicole Kidman, Jim Carrey, Tom Cruise, and Barbra Streisand, because you’re not safe from imitation either.
Don’t miss this hysterical performance at the Wold Performing Arts Center, located at 3601 N. Military Trail in Boca Raton. Performances are Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. Tickets cost $35. Call 561-237-9000, or visit lynn.edu/tickets.
