Its a must-see show for anyone who wants to laugh at the withering away of democratic politics that weve witnessed in 2009. The Capitol Steps troupe will perform from its new album of Christmas carols called Barackin Around the Christmas Tree. When the Obamas sing in a duet Everyone can have a health care plan/if they sneeze into their arm and Its Oprah whos in charge, you can feel your own upwelling of holiday disaffection. Other cozy numbers crackling with the spirit of the season include Ill Be Broke for Christmas, Rudolph the H1N1 Reindeer, O Rahm O Rahm Emmanuel, and odes to Sarah Palin, Twitter, the Town Hall meetings, and other augurs of the apocalypse.
