If everything you know about Indian culture came from watching Slumdog Millionaire and eating at the restaurant down the street, hit up the Seventh-Annual Indo-Pak Festival, which also has "Caribbean flavor," at Bahia Mar on Sunday. This one-day fest packs all the traditions into this hotel: There will be live tassa (that's like an Indian drum circle), Bollywood singers (Hinglish tunes), and Chutney singers (music of the Indo-Caribbean people). There will be more than 60 acts. On sale, henna, Indian clothing, and jewelry -- more than 100 vendors will be present. Don't know what to buy? The fashion show could inspire you to change your style. You can sample dishes native to India and the Caribbean. Omkar from Indian Idol will be performing! Mohammed Ali Shyhaki shall sing his Urdu pop gems. As always, expect belly dancers. Admission is $7, and the event runs from noon to 8 p.m. at Bahia Mar Hotel & Resort (801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale). Call 954-649-3374.
