Why wait until the next St. Patty’s Day to celebrate Irish culture when you can visit Dania Beach’s most authentic Irish pub, the Field Irish Pub and Eatery, any time? Hold the green beer, though. This Thursday, the charming watering hole will offer a savory Irish Whiskey Pairing Dinner at its intimate confines. You will not find any green brews or any neon shamrocks here. What the Field does have is pure, delectable, Irish single-pot-still whiskeys — such as Green Spot, Redbreast 12, and Powers John’s Lane. The pub will combine these masterful smoky selections with scrumptious food items like pine-nut-and-apricot-stuffed loin of lamb and caramelized-encrusted loin of pork with caramel sauce. For the grand finale, the Field’s famous bread pudding, fried, with cinnamon cream icing is paired with a smooth Jameson Irish Coffee. This is sure to be a night of Celtic cuisine at its finest, without the St. Patrick hullabaloo. The four-course small-plate pairing begins at 7:30 p.m.
