If the adage "You are what you eat" were literal truth, most Americans would probably be wrapped in cellophane and stamped with a list of unpronounceable ingredients. The "You Are What You Eat" art exhibition and fund-raiser explores -- in visual and spoken art form -- how healthy food and green living could lead to a greater sense of well-being in our country. The evening also includes a vegan tasting, live music, and fashion. The opening is 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the Sailboat Bend Artist Lofts, located at 1310 SW Second Court in Fort Lauderdale. Admission is free, and 20 percent of proceeds from sales will benefit the Sickle Cell Natural Wellness Group. Call 954-258-8097, or visit sailboat-bendartists.com.
