From far away, a woman might look flawless. But magnify the parts of her body and her story may unfold before your eyes. If you look closely, you may see every crease in the berry-stained lips of a woman filled with desire. Or look again and you may notice the rainbow of colors in the eye shadow surrounding her tear-filled eye. Whatever her story may be, you can decide, when you get up close and personal with the "Michel Pellus: Up Close" exhibit on display through March 2 at the Rosenbaum Contemporary, located at 150 Yamato Road in Boca Raton. Pellus, whose works have been on display in the Louvre in Paris and currently hang in museums in Montreal and Quebec, paints hyperrealistic, close-up views of people and objects, including scenes of luxury, high fashion, cinema, mystery, and beautiful women, on oversized canvases. The exhibit is free and open to the public. Museum hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 561-994-9180, or visit [email protected].
Mondays-Fridays, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Starts: Feb. 11. Continues through March 30, 2013
