With a hilarious montage, you're introduced to the Yannis Pappas Show Featuring Maurica & Mr. Panos and improv comedy show featuring the alter-egos of Pappas -- Maurica and Mr. Panos. Follow Pappas through the outlandish antics of Maurica Rodriguez, a character he dreamed up as a classy former high school basketball player turned transsexual queen from the Lower East Side of New York City. Maurica's main focus in life is to move out of the projects to the suburbs to fulfill her American dream of becoming a soccer mom while defeating her future husband in basketball games. She's a tranny you don't want to miss. Then, watch Pappas transform into the long-winded Grecian Mr. Panos, who will make you crack up as you listen to his theories on politics, a financial crisis, and the Germans. Pappas, from Brooklyn and of Grecian descent himself, doesn't disappoint with his delivery on his characters but especially with his own standup comedy act. Pappas co-anchors the morning show on the Fusion Network and has been featured on Comedy Central, VH1, and CBS. He tours the world as a standup comedian. Showtimes are 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. Friday, 7 and 9:45 p.m. Saturday, and 7 p.m. Sunday at the Fort Lauderdale Improv Comedy Club, located at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on 5700 Seminole Way. Admission is $25, and there is a two-drink minimum. You must be 21 or older to attend. Visit ftl.improv.com.
