Whether it’s the atmosphere of a lounge that helps you relax or the soothing lounge beats that transport you to another world, you will not want to miss Lounge Brazil, presented by Brazilian Voices at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The ensemble of 40 female voices, directed by Sue Scaglione, brings a mix of unique excitement and vibrancy, with a chill-out downtempo and modern electronic influence, to a stage transformed into a glamorous and dynamic lounge. Joined by keyboard player/arranger Jorge L. Sosa and Latin Grammy winner Nestor Torres, the concert will highlight popular Brazilian music, bossa nova, and samba while performing original arrangements interpreting music by Bebe Gilberto, Djavan, Katy Perry, Marcos Valle, Roberto Menescal, Tom Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, and Sting and the Police, among others. Don’t miss the nine-time Brazilian International Press Award winners performing in concert on Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the Amaturo Theater, located at 201 SW Fifth Ave. in Fort Lauderdale.
