If the first image you see when you think of the boating community is one that is an amalgamation of Gilligan’s Skipper and the trusted Gorton’s fisherman, you’re not alone. Those engrained images of an uptight captain and silver-bearded salty dog are hard to shake. But humans’ love with the sea runs across the board, whether renting a paddleboat or boarding a mega yacht. Case in point: The Palm Beach International Boat Show. To see boating’s universal multi-generational appeal, this spectacle is a must-visit. In its 24th year, the show exhibits over 1,000 boats, from powerboats to superyachts. Besides the $350 million worth of craft, there’s food, music, and free fishing clinics and seminars.
