Few things are greater than the east-west divide of Broward County. Just ask someone living on the beach to drive west of I-95. If it's not a trip to IKEA, it's probably not going to happen. Let's be honest, eastern inhabitants: It's time to bridge the gap. Pick up a map and passport to the Weston Town Center Crawl benefiting 2-1-1 Broward this Friday to experience the cultural delights that Weston has to offer.
For the crawl, guests will be given a map of the far-off town center of Weston and a passport to deliciousness at participating merchants. Spots like JG McGuinness Irish Pub, Tarantella, Cheese Course, and Japan Inn will offer snacks and drinks to passport holders. Tickets cost $20 at the event. A large portion of the proceeds will benefit 2-1-1 Broward, a 24/7 comprehensive agency that provides individuals and families with connections to health and human service agencies and programs. Registration will take place at GJ McGuinness Irish Pub, 1722 Main St. in Weston. Call 954-640-5822, or visit 211-broward.org.
