There are a few calendar days that warrant a collective weep for the lactose-intolerant community. National Ice Cream Day (July 18) and National Butterscotch Pudding Day (September 19th ) are standouts, but now we can add a whole weekend to the list, thanks to Sorrento Cheese’s Feast of Little Italy. The salivation-worthy celebration arrives at Abacoa Town Center (1155 Main St., Jupiter) with Italian foods, arts, culture and the ever-important charity cheese-building contest. Get there when it opens on Saturday at 10 a.m. and stay through the 8 p.m. performance by Eddie Mekka (Carmine from Laverne & Shirley!). Call 561-427-0500, or visit www.feastoflittleitaly.com.
