Spazio Fine Italian Cuisine

This open-air Italian restaurant and bar sits between Elbo Room and Dirty Blonde's in the much-traversed touristy strip of Fort Lauderdale Beach. Spazio's interior bar top overlooks the outdoor dining patio, where swirling fans and the eye-level beachfront view create a relaxing, tropical atmosphere. The restaurant opens at 8 a.m. to serve a full breakfast and provides a casual lunch spot and watering hole for beachgoers during the daytime. In the dinner hours, Spazio lights up with live music and occasional dancing that add to the hum of beachfront nightlife. Patrons sip oversized two-for-one margaritas and dine on a menu that includes beef carpaccio ($12.95), brick-oven pizzas - the Spazio ($12.95), a combo of mozzarella, tomatoes, capers, Gorgonzola, and Parmesan is the signature - and a large selection of entrées, such as veal chop Milanese, rack of lamb, and chicken piccata. Dance music plays at a reasonable volume in the background when there's no live music.
