We can't wait until Hipster Runoff wakes up today so that he can sing the praises of the ultimate object of his affection/scorn, Arcade Fire's Régine Chassagne. She is center stage in one of the most expensive-looking music videos not created with helicopter assistance ever made.
Directed by Vincent Morisset, the "Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond
Mountains)" clip also has an interactive version here, which allows you
to, um, do a little Chatroulette dancing with the video to control the
speed of the dancers. No MacBook, S.O.L. buddy! This is NSFW, but only because it's probably
sapping a massive amount of bandwidth. I still don't think The Suburbs was the best Merge album of the Grammy eligibility period, but this Kate Bush-nodding melody is by far the finest of the collection.
