Band of Horses, the bearded Americana rockers from Seattle (who now live in South Carolina), will perform at Revolution in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday evening. Yes, that's tomorrow! And learn about submitting your requests for "deeper cuts" here.
Update: Tickets are now available at Ticketmaster, and Band of Horses has confirmed the show (as well as a Charlotte gig on Friday). "We're hoping to provide a special treat to the fans coming out to these new dates," BOH writes.
The guys were already planning to hit South Florida as the guest of Kings of Leon at Cruzan Amphitheatre, but we all know how poorly that turned out. But, thanks to the call we just received from trusty rep Woody Graber, we got the details on the new plan.
In any case, this is a welcome, intimate gig for the band. The last time was a joyous gathering at Fillmore Miami last year, so packing out the Rev for Benjamin Bridwell's vocal para-sailing should be filled with cathartic moments.
The full message from the band is as follows:
Hey there Friends Of BoH! First off, we're sorry for the lag on updatingThe Band of Horses' last Fillmore Miami show was prior to the release of 2010's Infinite Arms, but I think some of us are still probably hung up on material fromeveryone. We're thrilled by all the support you're showing us, and have
been working behind the scenes to do everything we can to come see you.
Unfortunately, we won't be able to hit up all of the places we'd
planned on visiting with Kings of Leon. BUT!!! We're happy to announce
that we're going to play SOME SHOWS!!!
We're playing FT. LAUDERDALEAND CHARLOTTE THIS WEEK! Details are below. We're working on adding
more, and will have another update very soon.
We would like to thank Kings Of Leon for the opportunity to play the shows we did, and wish them all the best.
p.s. We're hoping to provide a special treat to the fans coming out to these new dates. Stay tuned and thank you!
Love, BoH
