Electro elements flirt with Middle Eastern strings, and the fusion of sounds is pure audio enlightenment. Surprisingly, David Santori, Sidecar Tommy, and Zoe Jakes were not a threesome born in a Bedouin tent. Instead, this Cali based act carries culture past borders, melding global sounds and modern technology.

Two words: Zoe Jakes
Though to attend a Beats Antique show for anything other than the music itself would seem completely sacrilegious, let's say, you're a token plus-one for a date night. Then feast your eyes on belly dancer extraordinaire and creatively genius frontwoman Zoe Jakes. Her sultry hips and swirling movements are the extra seasoning to an already flavor-packed show. She'll taunt and tantalize until you're hopelessly devoted to her swerve.
Contraption Vol. II
Touring in support of new release, Contraption Vol. II, Beats Antique is sure to showcase some new gems from this stunning work of audible art. From the fusion of polka on "Bus to Balkans" to the swanky allure of urban crooner LYNX on the violin-laced whine of "Crooked Muse," the freshies will blend in oh-so-nicely in the ever-growing Beats Antique catalogue.
Speaking of LYNX...
The addictive tone of LYNX sometimes comes along with the accompaniment of her melodic partner in crime Jamie Janover. But when she's not banging out tracks with her musical counterpart, the solo singer ignites a fire with her meticulous style, spry lyricism, and raucous beatboxing.
She's our favorite Beats Antique cameo artist, and her craft is an added bonus to Wednesday's show. LYNX, who just launched a Kickstarter to raise funds for her new album, is a fireball on stage. We're putting in a personal request for her guest vox on "She's Looking For Something," a choice Beats Antique track.
Not-your-average live show
For first-timers of the Beats Antique persuasion, it's time to get devirginzed. These days, it seems like every other show is another version of the last, with more overindulgent combinations of blaring electro and eye candy. The Beats Antique experience will most likely infuse tastes of those previous elements, but it's the vibe and influence of this trio's tunes that takes you to another place. Forget limiting yourself to synth drops and bass bombs for the night. Instead, get lost in a sea of worldly sounds, including twangy banjo, chilling violin, and charming mandolin. We'll see you on the dance floor.
