Big Time, written and directed by Dan Schimpf and Alex Anfanger and produced by Ben Stiller's production company, Red Hour, is about two half-wit, filmmaking wannabes who were kicked out of their parents' house at 30 because all they do is make weird YouTube videos.
The main characters, Jack and Ben, are slightly reminiscent of their creators, but instead of getting a development deal with a Hollywood company, they get wrapped up in an insane crime drama that plays out on the streets of Hollywood, Florida, in Miami and a few locations in between.

"They have no chance of making it in the movie business," Schimpf said in an interview with New Times last month. "They're just sort of talentless, but with really huge egos and big dreams."
The first episode features Stiller in a major role working to help the brothers get their lives on track and, as with every episode of the series, it quickly goes off the rails.
