It’s a good time to be a music fan residing in South Florida. Regardless of age or musical preferences, the music gods have bestowed upon us a ridiculous cache of ear candy throughout the week.

Venerated rock legends Steely Dan and Steve Winwood bring forty years’ worth of hits to Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre on Wednesday, followed by the face-melting duo of Slipknot and Marilyn Manson on Friday (also at Perfect Vodka) and an equally amazing pair of showstoppers in Mutemath and Twenty One Pilots on Saturday at the BB&T Center.

That being said, with all the big names lighting up the marquees between Broward and Palm Beach counties, there’s one show that might be slipping under some people’s radar. Modern Baseball, a catchy punk-pop outfit from Philly, will perform at Revolution Live on Saturday, July 2, in support of their third studio LP, Holy Ghost. Much like Say Anything and the Wonder Years, Modern Baseball is anchored by its clever, witty lyrics and churning guitars.
The four-piece is perfectly suited for a sweaty good time inside Revolution’s punk-friendly confines for what should be one of many awesome performances to thrash to this coming week.
