Sad news for Fort Lauderdale creatives began circulating yesterday: The Collide Factory warehouse space has closed its location in FAT Village digs and is looking for a new spot. The Juice's Stefan Kamph reports that the venture founded by Travis Webster is closing its doors "due to overwhelming complications," according to a Twitter post Thursday.
The brightly decorated space, segmented by graffiti-covered shipping containers, was positioned as a platform for art, music, and performance -- as well as an office environment for artistic pursuits during the day.
New Times has not reached Webster for further comment, but this statement is posted at thecollidefactory.com:
