Fans of Rhythm Foundation's concert series regularly chock full of tasty selections of world music will be pleased to hear that the non-profit org that this year alone brought Zizek, Ximena Sariñana, Aterciopelados, Curumin and Cucu Diamantes to our fair shores has just released the first bits of news regarding what we can expect from them in the coming year.

First up is Ottmar Liebert at the Gusman Center on Januaray 6. The German-born, Grammy-nominated guitarist is best known for blending jazz and flamenco for a nouveau twist on the traditional style. Then on February 16 they're bringing Nouvelle Vague to the Artime Theater. This Parisian group will thrill audiences with their sleek blend of everything from pop to bossa to new wave in a rather loungey and distinctly French cocktail. Like Pernod. Cuban songbird of Buena Vista fame Omara Portuondo brings some much needed cubaneo to the mix at the Fillmore on March 2. And French electronica duo Air  blows into the Fillmore on March 13, presenting material from their latest, a more organic effort titled Love 2.
