Ignorance is bliss, so they say. Face to Face seems to adhere to this timeless adage, considering it used it to title one of its albums. The veteran pop-punk outfit, fronted by Trever Keith (also of Viva Death and the Legion of Doom), used it as the backbone of the group's latest tour. When it was released in the summer of 1999, Ignorance Is Bliss, an alternative rock album, was widely praised by critics for its noticeably seamless departure from Face to Face's traditional punk pedigree. "Bands are pretty much locked into what they are by their third record," Keith said in an interview with Tampa-based music and culture blog Suburban Apologist. "We decided on our fourth record to go off the rails, and we reigned that back in after Ignorance Is Bliss." In 2004, Face to Face went on a "goodbye tour," seemingly calling it quits after 13 years together. Four years later, however, the group reunited. And there's no end in sight.
