Tonight, Bauhaus and Love and Rockets alum David J visits, performs and enshrouds Radio-Active Records and the Monterey Club here in Fort Lauderdale. Those tight black clothes are a very good start, but get a further refresher on the guy right here.

As detailed at the Radio-Active blog, Mr. J will sign records (including this exclusive seven-inch) and rub elbows with fans at the store between at 6 and 7 p.m. today.

Then, at 10 p.m., the performance/DJ set ensues over at Monterey Club. Admission is $5.

Read Richard Vergez' entertaining blow-by-blow for the evening below:

David J will be doing a record signing/meet & greet at Radio-Active.

He will be performing a short set and DJing later in the night at the

Monterey Club. And of course, you can do all the meeting and greeting you

like at the Monterey as well. Please interact with David, as he is

delighted to speak with his fans.

We will have a copy of David

J's exclusive seven-inch for sale that you can get signed by him. And if you

bring your receipt of the seven-inch to the Monterey, it entitles you to a free

beer. The signing is from 6 to 7 p.m. right here at Radio-Active in the

back vinyl room. Please limit if you can to two items for the signing; you

don't wanna be "that guy." Photos are allowed as long as David is cool

with it. Please be respectful, as you will see David is a very normal

and fun individual just like yourself, only a bit cooler.

The

Monterey portion of the night will commence at 10 p.m. Admission is only $5. I (Richard V.) will be DJing the warm-up portion of the night,

playing both deep and classic post-punk, glam, and surf cuts on vinyl.

David will perform solo around 11 p.m. Following will be a DJ set

by David J: DJ DJ, let's call him.
