In addition to purchasing copious libations at music fests, we've been making a habit of stuffing ourselves with vitamin supplements and our pockets with granola bars. Such training will come in handy for the Non-Stop Rock Fest, which promises to be a long and varied showcase of kick-ass, local rock 'n' roll. The Freakin' Hott bring their sex-stained, T. Rex-glamorous life to the mix, while Truckstop Coffee will do that pseudo-country-Western thing it does so well, and Timb and His Band of Erics will indulge in weird, white zinfandel-infused astrological landscapes. Balancing out the louder acts will be a series of acoustic sets performed by singer/songwriter/show promoter Brent Indeed, Katie Foley, and Jamie Brown. Be sure to load up on potassium or zinc — this evening is gonna be a musical decathlon

The Non-Stop Rock Fest starts at 9 p.m. Friday, December 16, at O'Shea's Irish Pub, 531 Clematis St., West Palm Beach. Tickets cost $5. Call 561-833-3865.
