Rivalries usually are between two sports teams (Dolphins versus Jets) or between two rappers (Tupac versus Biggie). A battle between music and sports was unheard-of until things deteriorated the way they have the past few years between NBA champions the Miami Heat and Lil Wayne.

At game one of the 2012 NBA Finals in Oklahoma City, Lil Wayne expressed dismay that he would have to pay for courtside seats to watch the Thunder play the Heat. Using the old the enemy of the enemy is my friend, Lil Wayne tweeted:

This is where things got ugly. As the Miami Heat trounced the Los Angeles Lakers, Lil Wayne was ejected from the game at American Airlines Arena.
This is Lil Wayne's tweet about the incident.
"So I'm @ da Heat game right, rootin 4 da Lakers kuz dats my team & would u believe they got police 2 make me leave?! Wow! F#€k da Heat"
This is the Miami Heat's spokeswoman's response to USA Today on the incident:
"Lil Wayne was not kicked out but instead chose to leave."
And this is what a witness who claimed to be seated next to Lil Wayne tweeted about the incident.
"Random guy yelled at Lil Wayne at #MiamiHEAT game. Weezy looked back, gave him a mean stare & gestured he had a gun. LOL what a douche"
Followed by:
"Weezy just got into argument with security at the #MiamiHEAT game. He got kicked out for gun gesture."

During All-Star Weekend in Houston, Lil Wayne voices his displeasure at not being a part of the official festivities. At an off-site concert Lil Wayne calmly announced, "The NBA banned me from all NBA events." After some boos from the crowd he explained, "It's because the Miami Heat told them to ban me." He then led the crowd with this chant, "When I say fuck, you say NBA! When I say fuck, you say Miami Heat!"
After this exchange he yelled, "Fuck LeBron. Fuck She Wade. Fuck Chris Bosh. Fuck all y'all." But then came the lowest blow when he added, "And I fucked Chris Bosh wife."
No one from the Heat organization responded to Lil Wayne's jabs unless you count winning 20 more games in a row in a historic 27-game win streak a response. Bosh did, however, play some of the worst ball of his ten-year career after the cuckolding by Lil Wayne.

A month after being hospitalized for seizures, a healthy Lil Wayne appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Lil Wayne called LeBron James a "stand-up guy" for sending his concerns during his troubles. Kimmel pressed Lil Wayne on his feud with the Heat. Lil Wayne said the Heat organization "did tell me I'm allowed back whenever I want. I don't think they want me there, so I won't make it hard on either of us." When Kimmel asked him about sleeping with Bosh's wife, Lil Wayne looked surprised. "I said that?" he asked puzzled. "I was too turnt up that night."

At the Miami Heat Championship Parade, not only does LeBron reiterate the Lil Wayne quote "I ain't got no worries." He asks the crowd of Heat season ticket holders to chant the Lil Wayne line along with him and succeeds.
Perhaps LeBron is training for a postplaying career in diplomacy. If he can get Lil Wayne and Heat fans to forgive each other, Israel and Palestine will be a piece of cake.
