File Under "The News Cycle and the Damage Done": Canadian rocker Neil Young, who taught most of us in the U.S. what Americana should really sound like and owns enough flannel to outfit the entire borough of Brooklyn, will likely play a show at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood this fall. A press release that hit inboxes earlier this week and a Ticketmaster link indicate that the date is September 23.

However, a bulletin titled "Hard Rock Jumps the Gun!" is up at Young's official site in the NY (get it?) Times section:

Hard Rock in Hollywood Fla is selling tickets for a Neil Young show that is not going to happen on that date. Sometimes tickets are accidently sold early before a show is approved by NY and this is one of those times. NY will be playing the Hard Rock venue In Hollywood Fla but not on the day that tickets are now being sold for. Please wait until this article is removed and replaced by an announcement of the official date. There is no official date at this time.
In any case, if/when Young comes to South Florida, it is expected to be a solo outing.

Neil Young. 8 p.m. Thursday, September 23 Someday, at Hard Rock Live, 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood. Tickets cost $55 to $185. Call 800-745-3000, or visit here
