Nine Inch Nails fans, just when you started getting used to the idea of never again seeing a live show and playing out all the old records into eternity, Trent Reznor came along and blew our minds with all sorts of shrieks of happiness-inducings announcements.

After 2009's farewell tour and four years of virtual silence, the band have reemerged with a new full-length album, Hesitation Marks, due out in September, and an extensive tour to support its release and mark the beginning of a new era for NIN.

"This is the real impetus and motivation behind the decision to assemble a new band and tour again," Reznor said in a recent post on the official NIN website. "My forays into film, HTDA and other projects really stimulated me creatively and I decided to focus that energy on taking Nine Inch Nails to a new place. Here we go!"

We're always a bit weary when a group jumps on the reinvention train and changes -- if it ain't broke -- but, by the sound of the first track they've just let loose, "Came Back Haunted," we think it's safe to say it's all good news on the NIN front.
