For the many among us who have spent the past couple months at home wearing little or no clothing next to an old, churning air conditioner, relief is in sight! In fact, everything will be in sight during the 3rd annual Naked End of Summer Bash August 12-14, hosted by the Florida Young Naturists (site is NSFW, but very welcoming in tone) at Loxahatchee Groves near West Palm Beach.

Need any more hints about what's going on at this event? It's a lot like music festivals you've attended before, but you'll need fewer articles of clothing and probably a lot more bug spray.

Live music will be provided by the Funky Nuggets, the Soulbirds, the

Leylines, Grassy Waters, Jungle Funk, and Mike Mineo, whose Beach Season release was recently chronicled here. No word on what level of undress will be involved during these performances.

What can be said for sure is that the overwhelming vibe for the nude beach trip, camping, drum circle, and other back-to-nature activities will be au natural.

One important programming note, though. This is put on by the Florida YOUNG Naturists, so the event is only open to buff-ready folks who are between ages 18-30. Photo ID required. The group is looking to grow, though, so the first 50 first-time attendees who show up between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, August 12, will get in free. Everyone else can cop a weekend wristband for a reasonable $11.

Naked End of Summer Bash. With the Funky Nuggets, the Soulbirds, the

Leylines, Grassy Waters, Jungle Funk, and Mike Mineo. Friday, August 12 to Sunday, August 14, at Sunsport Gardens Naturist Resort 14125 N. Road, Loxahatchee Groves. Tickets cost $11. Click here.
