Jane's Addiction mastermind Perry Farrell is plotting a South Florida visit during Art Basel Miami Beach. The enigmatic alt-rock frontman will unleash the Perry-Etty versus Chris Cox act -- featuring his wife, Etty Farrell; and DJ Chris Cox -- that popped up at Lollapalooza earlier this year with special guests to boot. It's all part of the Precision Guided Musicians project, a rotating cast of electronica artists assembled by Farrell for exclusive bashes around the country.
The gig is scheduled for Thursday, December 2, at Bardot and is "invite-only," so it's unclear how much Dionysian revelry will spill into the general public. Based upon video (below) of Farrell and Cox performing, there seems to be a debt
to his Jane's Addiction-era howls, as well as some muscular house music
in the template.
Also, here's another of Farrell's PGM performances. From 2004's Dancestar USA Awards filmed in Miami, "Walk on the Wild Side" featuring Moby and Paul Van Dyk:
Confused? So are we. Curious anyhow? Yep. As County Grind receives more information, we'll surely provide it.
