PureHoney Announces Bumblefest 2016 Lineup

When human beings turn five, they get a birthday party with a piñata, clown, and cake with the cartoon character du jour on it. When South Florida's favorite free monthly music zine PureHoney turns five, it gets rock 'n' roll — and lots of it.

Yesterday, PureHoney listed the musical lineup of Bumblefest One: PureHoney Turns 5 with over 25 bands and five stages. The party, which will be held September 17 from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. the next morning on the 500 block of Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach, will feature a plethora of local favorites as well as a few out-of-towners.

Headlining is the Stargazer Lilies, a Pennsylvania trifecta who sell themselves as "psych/gaze/heavy/ambient."

Local bands that will be representing include punks Armageddon Man, Fort Lauderdale's hip-hop joker Bleubird, and West Palm's bedroom rocker Chaucer. The full roster of musical acts include Celebratorrrrrr, Cog Nomen, Dan Bonebrake, the Dewars, Fat Sun, John Ralston, Keith Welsh, Lindsey Mills & the Lazy Lovers, Mo'Booty, Other Body, Peyote Coyote, Pocket of Lollipops, Problem Child, Rivers, Similar Prisoners, Sweet Bronco, Tree Swifts, Wallace, and Whiskey Wasps.

If that's not enough music for you — or you're Miami-based and West Palm is too far a trip — there will be a preparty Friday, September 16, at Gramps. Stargazer Lilies will play a set as well Peyote Coyote and Miami psych-rockers Heavy Drag.
