The PL0T crew has nothing short of a musical extravaganza in store for us this weekend with a triple showcase at the Electric Pickle featuring Ryan Elliott and Lee Foss on Friday night and Soul Clap during a special Sunday afternoon session. DJ Ryan Eliott, whose new compilation record we reviewed last week, is co-owner of the esteemed Michigan-based Spectral Sound imprint and, as anyone who's heard him play can attest, one of the finest DJs in contemporary EDM.

Los Angeles-based DJ/producer and new "It boy" Lee Foss has enjoyed a meteoric rise through the international ranks in the last year for his uniquely fluid, disco-inflected DJ stylings and forward-thinking releases on the Wolf + Lamb and Culprit labels and as Hot Natured (with Jamie Jones). The buzz surrounding Lee Foss during his WMC performances in March was phenomenal, especially after the "Get Lost" party at the Pickle, making his return on Friday much anticipated.

Boston-based DJ/production duo Soul Clap hardly need an introduction, having garnered plenty of praise across the board in the last couple years through their unabashedly fun-loving approach to dance music. As undisputed masters of the re-edit, the pair single-handedly kicked off the recent retro craze that has seen producers like Lee Foss, Jamie Jones and Wolf + Lamb start digging deep into the crates and bringing back the unadulterated pleasure of vintage disco and rare groove edits in the guise of contemporary EDM. Their DJ sets are highly funky and soulful affairs, touching on everything from old school electro-funk to tech-house, and this exclusive afternoon performance at the Pickle is sure to induce some serious body jacking. PL0T residents Alejandro Sab, Michael Christopher and Basti will be on the decks for both parties.
