It's that time again! The kids are back in school, you're not allowed to wear white, the taste of pumpkin lattes lingers on your palate and stores are already getting out their Christmas decorations.

Drake and Lil Wayne at Cruzan Amphitheatre on September 3

Billed as Drake vs Lil Wayne tour the two heavyweight emcees and courtside fixtures at NBA games threaten to battle in lyrical combat.

Washed Out at Culture Room on September 13

Dig the theme song from the comedy show Portlandia? The song is called "Feel It All Around," and it comes from the chillwave recording artist Washed Out who, interestingly enough, hails from Georgia which is nowhere near Oregon.

Experience Hendrix at Hard Rock Live on September 19

Celebrating the late great Jimi, Billy Cox, the one time bassist for the Jimi Hendrix Experience, jams Hendrix classics with Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, and many others.

It doesn't take long to figure out Gainesville's Tom Petty is the most important figure in rock history the Sunshine State ever produced. Even though opener Steve Winwood has nothing to do with Florida, his track record with Traffic and the Spencer Davis Group is nothing to sneeze at either.

Charli XCX at Culture Room on September 27

I'm completely confused how someone responsible for so many hits this year is still playing such an intimate venue. The 22-year-old Brit cowrote and is featured in both Icona Pop's "I Don't Care" and Iggy Azalea's "Fancy." She scored a top ten hit this summer all by her lonesome with "Boom Clap." See her now, because next time the talented pop mastermind comes to town she'll be playing an arena.

Belle & Sebastian at the Fillmore on September 28

Making their first ever appearance in South Florida nearly two decades into their career, the Scottish indie pop group will bring their trademark child wonder to Miami Beach.

III Points Festival at Wynwood from October 10 to 12

The second music, art, technology festival will be held at various hubs around Wynwood. This year's main attractions includes Swedish chanteuse Lykke Li, music mastermind RJD2, and Jamie XX.

Coral Skies Music Festival at Cruzan Amphitheatre on October 26

This all day indie rock festival features a solid line-up, including headliner Cage the Elephant, Bombay Bicycle Club, the Hold Steady, and the Strokes' lead singer's side project Julian Casablancas and the Voidz.

The Black Keys at BB&T Center on December 15

The biggest and baddest national guitar/drum duo are coming to town to promote their newest album Turn Blue. Arrive early for opener St. Vincent who will also be playing a gig at the Fillmore on October 6.

Fleetwood Mac at BB&T Center on December 19

After cancelling last year's appearance at the same venue, the Mac is back, playing some of the most bittersweet confections to come out of the 1970s.
