Beginning last week, Milwaukee emo band the Promise Ring made its mysterious return to the internet by way of Twitter.

A week after posting the equivocal "Hello, again..." status, the band released a 34-second video titled "It's All Coming Back to Me Part 1." The cryptic video contains clips of a drive through a small unnamed town with fuzzy lo-fi music playing in the background. In addition to a few odd tweets and the video, the band has started using the hashtag "#tpr2012." Both Dan Didier and Davey Von Bohlen  have also tweeted, encouraging fans to follow the band's Twitter (@ThePromiseRing) account.

The Promise Ring originally disbanded in 2002 but reunited for a

one-off performance in 2005. Is this a sign that something big is coming from the band in 2012?

Watch the teaser video below.
