I just got word late yesterday that rapper/actor Common is booking shows in support of his upcoming album, Invincible Summer, and will be in Miami on Friday, September 5 at the Fillmore Miami Beach.
That's good news as the Fillmore is an intimate enough venue that true Common fans should be satisfied, yet it's big enough that it won't immediately sell out. Well, it shouldn't immediately sell out, although with Virginia powerhouse rockers N.E.R.D. as the opening act, tickets will go fast.
Both acts put on incredibly high energy live shows and seem to be at a creative apex. The fact that they're touring together makes sense as Common often uses beats by Pharrell for his albums. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. through, who else, Live Nation.
As of now, tickets are priced at $75.00, $55.50 & $38.50.
After the jump, check out a preview of what N.E.R.D. and Common look like in concert together live.
