Trip Don't Fall seems like a young quad of snappy dressers with hippie-leaning tastes that mirror their musical ambitions as well. Think soft, jazz-guided rock music that gets its cues from reggae and Caribbean rhythms under washes of distorted psychedelic guitars, plus touches of Peter Tosh in a canvas of Warrior on the Edge of Time-era Hawkwind. Somehow, these varied influences get to what's going on without ever fully delving into the forays of a jam outfit — though the jam does occur. I guess there's something good in the waters of Boynton Beach.
OneDropSound will be on hand to counter with rhythms that are key and on point with the regular Thursday-night crowd that's used to the reggae, ska, and dub sounds. Hailing out of Lake Worth proper, they put that "dub" in the L-Dub moniker the town operates under in certain circles. Wonder if the council will make it official.
