Essentially, this is the visual equivalent of everything we already understood about Justin Vernon's soothing missives -- why sing about a mountain, when you can just sing a mountain? Glaciers, grassy plains, waterfalls, rock formations on the seashore, and cloud formations that only exist in the iris of your lover (and Iceland, as it turns out). We live vicariously through a boy who could've been a stunt double for the young Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace -- or at least a buddy of the little chap in Enya's "Caribbean Blue" video.
Our young star, let's call him Bon Jr., is too young to possess a beard quite yet, but he's
ready to enjoy the luxurious softness of a Gap Kids zip-up sweater on his bare
skin. He loves his walking stick, somehow lives alone in a house that looks like it's out of Middle Earth,
and skips stones better than you could ever hope to. A bird is the only companion he requires, and perhaps this Nabil-directed video will be all you need.
