"I am here to be a voice for my generation, not the generation of the senators who are voting, but for the youth of this country -- the generation that is affected by this law and whose children will be affected," Lady Gaga says in a new video she has posted decrying the U.S. military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy.
After wearing a dress made out of raw meat to the MTV VMAs over the weekend, Lady Gaga opts for a suit and tie to continue her plea to repeal the law that she points out has left 400 service members discharged under President Obama's presidency. She points people to the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network site "slash Gaga," and she actually places a call to New York U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer's office, which proves to be a bit uncomfortable (see below).
