Coworkers of the Boca-based real estate company employees who were killed in a jet crash in Akron, Ohio, on Tuesday have set up a GoFundMe to raise money for the families. On Tuesday, a small plane carrying nine people slammed into an apartment building in Akron, killing all nine on board. Seven of the nine were employees for Pebb Enterprises, a real estate company based out of Boca.

"Our hearts are broken this morning with the news of the tragic accident that took the lives of two principals and five employees of PEBB Enterprises," the company said in a statement. "We are shocked and deeply saddened for the families, colleagues, and friends of those who perished. Our first priority is to give our fullest support to the family members and loved ones of our co-workers. We ask for the media’s understanding and cooperation at this time of unimaginable loss and mourning."

According to multiple reports, a twin-engine Hawker 125-700 left Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport at 6:30 a.m. Monday. The plane reportedly clipped some electrical wires as it fell into the side of a four-story apartment complex. The crash caused a fire at the complex and the adjoining building. According to reports, no one in the complex was injured, nor were there injuries reported on the ground.
On Thursday, the GoFundMe page with a goal of $250,000 was put up by Pebb Enterprises employees.

According to the page, the fund is set up to help the families of those killed with funeral and travel costs, as well as an education fund to benefit their children. The money raised will be divided among the families, according to the page.

"They were not just co-workers, they were part of our family," the page reads. "Any donation amount will surely help."
