Chanel Farrell Phillips, the Jupiter woman who was missing since Saturday and was found with her car submerged in a Abacoa pond, died of drowning, the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner determined.
The medical examiner also said that foul play is not suspected.
Meanwhile, investigators are waiting on toxicology results, which could take weeks to come in.
Phillips, 23, was reported missing on Sunday, and was last seen early Saturday morning after spending the night out with her friends.
According to police, Phillips had driven one of her friends home following a night out at a bar.
On Tuesday, an officer driving through the Abacoa neighborhood spotted tire tracks that led into the pond.
A dive team that was called in to investigate discovered a submerged 2001 Cadillac Deville. Phillips' body was discovered inside the vehicle.
Police determined that the Cadillac belonged to Phillips and that she was driving.
According to a Palm Beach Gardens police report, had last been seen at 1:45 a.m. leaving the Dirty Martini at 11701 Victoria Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens.
Phillips' mother told investigators that her daughter was unfamiliar with the Mallory Creek area, and that a friend told her that Chanel was fine to drive that night.
A makeshift memorial now stands at the spot by the pond where she was found.
