The Broward Sheriff's Office says a man has been arrested for shooting a cab driver in Pompano Beach last month, after the suspect left the evidence in a cooler inside the taxi.

According to the sheriff's office, cab driver Williamson Joseph picked up 30-year-old Semie Robinson from a Fort Lauderdale convenience store on November 18, and Robinson told the driver to take him to Pompano Beach.

Joseph then parked in the driveway Robinson told him to go to -- about 1.5 miles from his house -- and Robinson shot him once in the head and once in the armpit, the BSO says.

Joseph was taken to the North Broward Medical Center, and was eventually released.

Meanwhile, the cops discovered that a cooler was left in Joseph's "bloody taxi."

Inside the cooler was a partially consumed bottle of Mountain Dew, and a baseball cap.

The BSO says the mouthpiece of the Mountain Dew bottle had Robinson's DNA on it, and the emblem on his hat had two of his fingerprints.

Robinson -- who was paroled from prison about 10 months ago -- was arrested and charged with attempted murder, as well as a parole violation, on December 12.

He's being held without bond in the Broward County Jail.
