Andrea Miller apparently isn't the best at picking boyfriends, since the cops say that during a confrontation yesterday, her ex-boyfriend grabbed a gun and shot at her while her current boyfriend had already run away.
According to Boca Raton police, Miller was with her boyfriend, Kunta Kinte Riddick, at a West Palm Beach club where they were spotted by Miller's ex-boyfriend, Dalis Bell.
They didn't speak to each other, but police say later that night -- around 5 a.m. -- Bell started calling Miller's cell phone nonstop after Miller and Kunta Kinte went back to their condo.
She decided to turn off the ringer to the phone, and police say Bell decided to kick down the door to the condo try to get ahold of her around 7 a.m. instead.
Bell and Kunta Kinte got into a wrestling spat on the floor before Kunta Kinte finally got Bell to leave, police say.
According to the cops, Bell said "I got something for you" as he was walking away from the place.
Kunta Kinte followed Bell through the parking lot, that is, before he pulled a gun out of his Oldsmobile, police say.
Kunta Kinte booked it, leaving his girlfriend defenseless in their busted-door condo.
Police say Miller tried to close the door to her condo, but Bell shot at her through the door.
The bullet whizzed past her head, and Bell hopped back into the Oldsmobile while his getaway driver took off.
Cops got on the trail of Bell, and he was finally arrested in Port St. Lucie by sheriff's deputies.
Bell has been charged with attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, burglary with assault, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
In other words, Ms. Miller may need to exercise a little more caution in selecting her next boyfriend.
