Since Christmas falls in the middle of the week next week, you're likely going to be hitting up the majority of your holiday parties this weekend, starting tonight.

And that means gifts, friends, family, co-workers, egg nog, fruit cake, Secret Santas, and getting totally SLOSHED.

So, there's a DUI checkpoint being conducted by the Broward Sheriff's Office on Friday night that you should know about.

The BSO says the DUI checkpoint will be going down at 380 S. Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach on Friday night into Saturday morning.

The checkpoint is scheduled to be conducted between 9:00 p.m. Friday night to 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Broward Sheriff's Office DUI Task Force and Deerfield Beach district personnel, in conjunction with other agencies and municipalities, are conducting the checkpoint.

This means they'll be looking for anyone who looks like they were hitting the holiday Jell-O shots a little too hard.

You should probably get a designated driver even if you're not in the area, anyway.
