Just about everyone has had something to complain about with Gov. Rick Scott lately, and you can add Sir Elton John to that list.

On behalf of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, John wrote a letter to the governor asking him to protect a program that gives help to HIV/AIDS patients in obtaining their medications, according to the Associated Press.

There haven't been any recent changes to Florida's program, but the attempts are in the works.

A Florida Department of Health spokeswoman told the AP that no exact changes are planned to the HIV/AIDS medication access program, although they are considering lowering the income requirements to participate in it.

And that's exactly what John wrote to the governor to complain about.

John, along with his civil partner, Elton John AIDS Foundation Chairman David Furnish, said in their letter to the governor that lowering income eligibility could cause as many as 1,600 people to lose their assistance in obtaining antiretroviral medication.

"We were horrified when we heard this, and we wanted to reach out and make our unhappiness known to the governor," Furnish told the AP.
