Like most of us watching President Obama's DNC speech last night, Sarah Coursey, a Tavares City policewoman, took to the interwebs and hit up her favorite social media site to talk about it.

Unlike most of us, however, she made an assassination comment about the president. And things went about as you'd expect them to go when someone takes to Facebook and makes an assassination comment about the president.

Coursey is under investigation for apparently posting this comment on her Facebook as Obama made his speech:

Where's Lee Harvey Oswald or John Wilkes Booth when you need them!?!? :)

But I put a smiley face at the end of my comment wishing some one would blow the president's brains out just like those two guys did with Lincoln and Kennedy! So it's totally OK!

A little after 10:15 Thursday night, the police department Coursey works for received an email about her Facebook comment, according to Police Chief Stoney Lubins.

Lubins said the statement was "alarming" and the department will be doing an internal investigation.

A spokesman with the Secret Service said they are aware of the incident and will be conducting appropriate follow-up.

Coursey's Facebook page has apparently been shut down or deleted.
