Fort Lauderdale Police have arrested five men they believe are connected with at least 20 armed robberies, the department announced in a press conference today. Most of the robberies targeted construction sites and vacant houses.

Police say the suspects would enter a construction site, produce weapons, and demand the construction workers turn over all their money and property.

The men arrested are all Fort Lauderdale residents and range in age from 16 to 21. First police arrested Tavaris Irvin, 19, Donnie Gallimore, 18, and Cardarol Calloway, 16. They found Breon Davis, 19, already in the Broward Sheriff's main jail on unrelated charges. Later, with the help of the FBI Fugitive Task Force, police arrested Milton Mobley, 21, who they say was the ring leader.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and they are encouraging anyone else with information regarding the case to come forward. Photos of the others alleged to be in Mobley's theft ring, after the jump.
