George Zimmerman was arrested Monday for allegedly pushing his pregnant girlfriend, making it his latest brush with the law, which is shocking because he's such a law-abiding guy, as he displayed when he once shot an unarmed 17-year-old black kid who brazenly decided to walk down the street with a bag of Skittles.
As promised, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office has released the 911 recording made by his girlfriend, who claims that Zimmerman pushed her and shoved a gun in her face.
Motivated to tell his side of the story, George called 911 at the same time and then proceeded to say nothing.
The two can be heard arguing during the woman's call.
"You put your gun in my freaking face and told me to get the fuck out!" she yells at Zimmerman at one point.
As the 911 operator tries to assess the situation, the woman again yells at Zimmerman, saying, "Do not push me out of my house." She then tells the operator that "[Zimmerman] just pushed me out of my house and locked me out."
Maybe he was just standing his ground? We won't know for sure until Zimmerman faces a judge and then eventually gets away with it.
As the 911 operator gets the woman's information and asks her to move to a safer location, the exasperated woman exclaims, "He knows how to do this. He knows how to play this game."
Meanwhile, while all this is going on, George dialed up 911, because they needed to hear his side of things.
"I have a girlfriend who, for lack of a better word, has gone crazy on me," he says calmly.
Zimmerman then tells the operator, "I just want everyone to know the truth."
He tells the operator that Seminole County Sheriff's Office deputies are banging on the door and window, trying to get Zimmerman to come out and speak with them.
"You don't want to speak to them?" the operator asks.
"I have nothing to say," he answers.
I just want the world to hear my side of the story, but I have nothing to say!
At one point, Zimmerman tells the 911 dispatcher that he never pulled a firearm.
"She told me that she raise the child on her own," he says. "That's fine."
Zimmerman was arrested shortly after.
This is the second time in three months Zimmerman has gotten tangled up in a domestic brouhaha. Just this past September, his ex-wife called 911 after George allegedly punched her father, bloodying his nose, and allegedly pulled a gun on them. Charges were eventually dropped. Zimmerman's girlfriend was apparently at the scene at the time.
Zimmerman was also pulled over for speeding twice since his acquittal. In September, he was nabbed for going 60 mph in a 45-mph zone. He received a $256 ticket and was not carrying a weapon at the time. The second time, he was caught by the fuzz in Texas, where the officer involved stated he let Zimmerman go with just a warning.
Oh, and then there was that one time he shot a black teenager for no good reason and was set free.
Seems to us that the girlfriend is right. He does know how to play this game.
