Happy Thanksgiving, dear readers!

Hopefully you're all set and ready for the festivities and time with friends and family today. As is the case every year, most stores and businesses are closed for the day. But, as is the case every year, you might have forgotten to get something for dinner.

Below you'll find a list of what supermarkets and stores are open or closed, and also some mall schedules in case you're one of the crazy ones that want to get an early jump on Black Friday.

There are also some federal and state closings you should know about:

Grocery Stores & Retail:

Publix: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day (open Friday) Winn Dixie: OPEN on Thanksgiving Day until 4:00 p.m. Albertsons: OPEN on Thanksgiving Day until 4:00 p.m.

The Galleria: CLOSED Lauderhill Mall: CLOSED Shops at Pembroke Gardens: CLOSED Pembroke Lakes Mall: OPEN 6:00 p.m. to midnight Sawgrass Mills: OPEN 6:00 p.m. Aventura Mall: OPEN 6:00 p.m. to midnight Town Center at Boca Raton: OPEN 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Broward Mall: OPEN 6:00 p.m. Fort Lauderdale Swap Shop: OPEN 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Miscellaneous:

Federal offices: CLOSED on Thanksgiving Day. OPEN on Friday.

State offices: CLOSED

Libraries: CLOSED

Post offices: CLOSED. Mail delivery resumes Monday.

Schools: All public schools and universities are CLOSED

Transit: Thursday operates on a Sunday schedule, with the regular schedule resuming on Friday.

Tri-Rail: Thursday operates on a weekend schedule, with the regular schedule resuming on Friday.

Banks: Most banks are usually closed on Thanksgiving Day, and open again on Friday. Check with your bank, just in case.

Garbage collection: There will be no garbage collection on Thanksgiving Day. Normal collection will resume on Friday throughout unincorporated areas.

Parks: OPEN. But, there is a $1.50 holiday rate to enter regional parks. Deerfield Island Park will be closed.
