In the spirit of holiday giving, about 6,000 postcards from Broward Teachers Union members are expected to begin arriving at the homes of Broward School Board members today. The cards, featuring lumps of coal and some adorably angry-looking children, are not exactly subtle.

They're designed to hammer home the point that teachers are pissed off about their 45 percent health insurance rate hike, stalled contract negotiations, emails to the board being treated as spam, and -- oh yeah -- the federal corruption probe that has put a harsh light on board members Beverly Gallagher and Stephanie Kraft.

One of the cards includes a picture of Santa behind bars, and the caption: "Federal Corruption Probe: Who Will Be Next?"

Kind of takes the edge off the eggnog, doesn't it?
