A Pembroke Pines underage-sex sting netted a Miami Fire Rescue lieutenant on Wednesday after he engaged an undercover officer posing as a 15-year-old.
Ramon Marti, 47, was busted after Pembroke Pines Police set up a fake classified ad back in July.
Marti, police say, answered the ad and eventually got in touch with the officer.
According to Pembroke Pines Police, Marti engaged in conversations with the undercover officer posing as an underaged girl using his cell phone.
The conversations turned sexually explicit and eventually led to Marti's sending the undercover officer obscene pictures of himself via text.
Marti, who has been a Miami firefighter since 1994, according to the Sun Sentinel, was caught after Pembroke Pines Police set up the sting using an online dating profile.
Once Marti engaged with the officer and sent photos, police issued an arrest warrant earlier this week.
On Wednesday morning, they arrested Marti, charging him with attempted solicitation of a minor, providing obscene material to a minor, and unlawful use of a two-way device.
Police say Marti confessed after being arrested. He was been relieved of duty pending an investigation.
Marti is currently being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Facility.
