Scott Rothstein neighbor, cartoon cameo-maker, and victim of midget violence Scottie Pippen is close to earning induction into the Hall of Fame for that other thing he did: play basketball.

According to an ESPN report, Pip is one of 19 finalists for the Naismith Hall of Fame -- a group that includes Karl "Mailman" Malone and the Dream Team, the Olympic squad for which both played.

On April 5, we'll learn who earned the votes needed for induction. But the three listed above are shoo-ins.

Speaking of Dream Teams, Michael Jordan's recent move to Jupiter means that Broward and Palm Beach will be home to the two best players on the NBA's most recent dynasty.
