It's the final day of 2015  — and you know what that means — resolution time! Ugh. If 2016 is going to be the year you finally quit smoking or lose those extra 25 pounds, you're going to have to do something differently from what you've always done. It's easy to find yourself in March eating Cheetos out of the family size bag telling yourself it's not to late to get in shape for the summer; Don't waste time, get a jump on those New Year resolutions now

Here are a few places in Broward County that will help you stick to your 2016 goals, conquer them, and proudly look back at the things you accomplished this time next year. Good luck!

10. Crossfit Muscle Farm
1255 N Flagler Dr, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304
(954) 463-1889

Enough is enough; It's time to kick your ass into shape. No more meals that come in the mail. No more at-your-own-pace walks around the block. If 2016 is going to be the year you're going to see a real change, it's time to take some drastic measures — drastic measures that include the words "muscle" and "farm" in them. Crossfit Muscle Farm in Ft. Lauderdale is not where you want to start off if you need to lose 100 pounds — nooooo, you might die. This is the place you go to turn from an Average Joe into a Mikey Muscles.

9. Wellspring Hypnosis
1400 East Oakland Park Boulevard, Oakland Park, Florida 33334
(954)-938-8000

You've tried it all and you just can't quit — so why not try something a little...well, outside of your comfort zone. Hypnosis has helped many real people quit smoking, so it can't  be total hogwash. Wellspring Hypnosis in Oakland Park specializes in this sort of therapy, and has some success stories you might wanna read up on. With some packs of cigarettes going for eight bucks these days, an investment at this shot-in-the-dark can't be more expensive than actually smoking for a month.

8. Fort Lauderdale Guitar Teacher Dyce Kimura
109 South 57th Ave Hollywood 33023
(786) 457- 3687

If your New Years resolution is to start something new in 2016, why not learn to play the guitar? Dyce Kimura is unique in that he provides lessons both in person and online — so you have no excuses. Kimura learned to play guitar in Japan, and has a long history in the entertainment business. He also offers voice lessons, if you're trying to completely quit your day job and give John Mayer a run for his money.

7. Whole Foods Market
810 N University Dr, Coral Springs, FL 33071
(954) 753-8000

If your goal is to eat more organic or healthier in 2016 you don't need a fancy nutritionist, you just need a place to get the goods. Whole Foods isn't exactly farm fresh, but if you don't have time to drive north to a place like Bedner's Farms in Boynton, it'll do. If your desire is to not only watch your weight, but to make sure what you put in your body is clean — Whole Foods is easily the best, and most readily available, place to buy the things you'll need.

6. Adopt-A-Pet Broward
1870 SW 39th Street Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315
(954) 359-1313

Many people set out to volunteer more in the new year, and Adopt-A-Pet Broward is a terrific option. If you're a pet lover, lending a hand and giving back to your community at a animal shelter is a terrific way to not only make a difference, but to relieve some stress of your own.

5. Broward College
3501 Davie Rd,
(954) 201-6800

If your plan in 2016 is to go back to school — whether it be to finish a degree, or add to your existing education — then Broward College Online is the best bang for your buck. BCC has the lowest rates per credit hour in the state, and offers various programs that can be done mostly online if you're unable to escape the chaos that is your day-to-day real life.

4. Deerfield Beach
200 NE 21st Ave,
(954) 480-4407

Lots of people make it a point to spend more time with their family in the upcoming year, by why not double-up and make it a point to spend more time with the family at the beach in 2016? Any beach can do, but Deerfield is an especially fantastic family friendly beach that has ample parking and the least fuss of any beach in Broward County. Instead of watching that show tonight, or letting your wife take the kids to the mall for the one-hundredth time this year — head out the beach and make a day of it.

3. Financial Advisors
210 N University Dr #401
(954) 575-6250

If you're getting to the point where you're a full fledged adult that needs to start figuring out the best ways to put some change away for the future, it might be time to actually take the step beyond saving actual change in your pockets from your Publix runs. A financial advisor like the ones at the Ameriprise Financial (address and number listed above) can keep it real with you, and set up ways that money will actually be taken out of your checks and put aside for a rainy day. In 2016 it's time to come to grips with the fact that maybe you can't do it all on your own.

2. Mizner Park
327 Plaza Real,
(561) 362-0606

In 2016 you want to spend less time on Facebook or watching TV, so you're going to need more places to go and get out of the house — why not Mizner Park? Okay, so this is Palm Beach County officially, but is is so damn close.....Not everything at Mizner is about fancy-expensive-luxurious stuff, — it's also a really nice place to kick back with a friend or your family and..wait for it...talk! Remember talking? It's like using your thumbs, but with your mouth!

1. Goodwill
1099 E Oakland Park Blvd.
(954) 390-0147

Stop hoarding in 2016! It's time to clean out all that crap from your closet and garage and get more organized — but don't throw that stuff on the curb — donate it to Goodwill. You can claim it on your taxes and it would be doing something nice for someone, so you'd be basically killing so many resolution-birds with one stone it almost doesn't make sense not to give things away.
