Last week, we told you about how Tim Tebow was slated to speak at gay-hating, Muslim-hating, Jew-hating Texas preacher Robert Jeffress' megachurch but then dropped out of doing so after suddenly realizing Jeffress was such a hateful dude.
But the First Baptist Dallas Church pastor ain't sitting idly by while Jesus Football cancels on joining his Gay-Hate-a-Palooza. No, sir!
On Sunday, Jefrreessssssss took to the pulpit to milk the fame Tebow has given him and his church a little more pass judgment on Tebow for bowing out of his speaking engagement.
Although the good pastor did not identify Tebow by name, it was blatantly obvious who he was speaking about.
"I am grateful for men of God like these," Jeffress says in his ten-minute sermon. "[Men] who are willing to stand up and act like men rather than wimping out when it gets a little controversial and an inconvenient thing to stand for the truth. God bless men like that."
But Jeffress wasn't done attacking Tebow, going after the quarterback's decision to stay away from the controversy for, as Tebow put it, "personal and professional reasons."
"There are some people who would say 'God's given me a different ministry," Jeffress says. "God has called me to go preach about the love of God. I'm not called to preach about sin and controversial things. I've been called to preach about the love of God. And they're sincere when they say that. But they are sincerely wrong. The fact is you cannot talk about the love of God. The love of God has no meaning whatsoever unless you understand the judgment of God that all of us deserve."
Keep in mind that the Jeffress preaching about "God's love" is the same guy who once preached that 70 percent of The Gays have AIDS and that America has been brainwashed to accept homosexuality in a simple yet devious three-step brainwashing scheme, much like the Chinese government used to do.
For his part, Tebow hasn't responded (and probably won't) to Jeffress' Christian-on-Christian crime.
And regardless of any statements he's made, Tebow still hasn't been clear enough on where he stands, in contrast to where Jeffress stands, as far as all the hate-mongering dipshittery is concerned.
Tebow could well have gone and spoken at the church and turned the tables on Jeffress and preached about love, acceptance, and for people who claim to follow Jesus to be more, you know, like Jesus.
But he stepped away, and that was that.
Jeffress is wrong about just about everything... except maybe the part about Tebow being a wimp.
